About the Panther Projects
‣ Freedom
The Panther software projects are designed to provide access to easy to use encryption tools, so that they are acessible to everyone in the general population, not just experts in the field. Because of this, the applications are provided in full, free of charge, under the Apache 2.0 License.
‣ Universal Availability
Another supporting central idea behind the software projects is that people should be able to take advantage of useful software on all their computers-both home and work. All applications take advantage of Java technology, so they can run seamlessly between all your computers, regardless of your OS or architecture, so you can easily secure information on your Mac, Linux, and Windows computers. Also, because the applications do not necessarily need to be downloaded in installer format, you don't have to be able to install to use it.
